Chateau de Bousval

Belgium

The history of the Château de Bousval vineyard was born out of a dialogue between Michel Verhaeghe de Naeyer, a lover of nature and its Walloon fields. The vine flourishes day after day thanks to the passion of an eco-responsible cultivation manager, who knows that beyond the taste of the native land, a wine breathes the way it was cultivated. As for the fruit of the vine, it is in the expert hands of an enthusiastic cellar master happy to share in Bousval the young heritage of his international experiences with the ambition of producing a wine sublimating the harvests and their fragrance.

Here, no inherited wine, but a wine in the making, the result of the young vine meeting the Belgian sun, the fauna, the varied flora and the micro-organisms of the soil of Bousval. The young vineyard is currently completing its second year of conversion to organic farming and has been practicing biodynamics from its very first leaves.

“The priority ambition is part of a respectful vision of the soil : to make a quality wine in a quality environment, which may not be from Burgundy, Alsace or Austria but a wine from the terroir of Bousval”.

Château de Bousval currently vinifies 2 cuvées made from Chardonnay, 1 from Pinot Noir and the last one from Pinot Gris.

You will find on the site of the domain all the information about the different vintages as well as the means put in place to produce a high quality range.
